The1962 Rhode Island Rams football team was anAmerican football team that represented theUniversity of Rhode Island as a member of theYankee Conference during the1962 NCAA College Division football season. In its second and final season under head coachJohn Chironna, the team compiled a 2–5–2 record (1–3–1 against conference opponents), finished in fourth place out of six teams in the Yankee Conference, and was outscored by a total of 176 to 84.[1] The team played its home games atMeade Stadium inKingston, Rhode Island.
