The 1959New York Yankees season was the 57th season for the team. The team finished in third place in theAmerican League with a record of 79–75, 15 games behind theChicago White Sox. New York was managed byCasey Stengel. The Yankees played their home games atYankee Stadium.

This was the only season between 1955 and 1964 in which the Yankees failed to win the American League pennant.
