The1958 Nebraska lieutenant gubernatorial election was held on November 4, 1958, and featured incumbentNebraska Lieutenant GovernorDwight W. Burney, aRepublican, defeatingDemocratic nominee Frank Sorrell.[1]

On September 9, 1960, Nebraska GovernorRalph G. Brooks died while in office. This causedDwight W. Burney, who as a result of this election was the lieutenant governor, to becomeGovernor of Nebraska.[2]
