American college football season
The1957 Army Cadets football team represented theUnited States Military Academy as an independent during the1957 college football season. In their 17th year under head coachEarl Blaik, the Cadets compiled a 7–2 record and outscored their opponents 251 to 129.
In the annualArmy–Navy Game atPhiladelphia, the Cadets lost 14–0 to theMidshipmen. Army's other loss was in thesame stadium, by two points toNotre Dame in mid-October.
Two Army players were honored on theAll-America Team; sophomore backBob Anderson was a consensus first-team selection,[1] and center Jim Kernan was a second-team selection of theInternational News Service (INS).[2]
