The1956 Mississippi State Maroons football team was anAmerican football team that represented Mississippi State College (now known asMississippi State University) as a member of theSoutheastern Conference (SEC) during the1956 college football season. In their first year under head coachWade Walker, the team compiled an overall record of 4–6, with a mark of 2–5 in conference play, and placed tied for eighth in the SEC.[1]
