LEAGUE CHAMPIONS: Indianapolis, Fayetteville[3]
In 1956, the Indianapolis Indians were 92–62. On May 18, they defeated theLouisville Colonels by a score of 24–0.Roger Maris had sevenruns batted in for the game.[4] The Indians went on to win the 1956Junior World Series by defeating theRochester Red Wings. In Game 2 of theJunior World Series, Maris would set a record by getting seven runs batted in.[5]
