The1955-56 Serie A was the fifty-fourth edition of theItalian Football Championship. It was the twenty-third Italian Football ChampionshipbrandedSerie A, since Serie A was launched in1929. This was the thirtieth season from which the Italian Football Champions adorned their team jerseys in the subsequent season with aScudetto.Fiorentina were champions for the first time in theirhistory. This was thus their second scudetto since the scudetto started being awarded in1924, and their first win contested as Serie A.
