The1954 United States Senate election in Kansas took place on November 2, 1954. Incumbent Republican SenatorAndrew F. Schoeppel ran for re-election to a second term. He was challenged byGeorge McGill, the Democratic nominee and a former U.S. Senator, whom he had defeated in1948. Despite afavorable national environment for Democrats, Schoeppel increased his margin of victory over McGill, defeating him with 56% of the vote.
