The1952 Missouri gubernatorial election was held on November 4, 1952, and resulted in a victory for theDemocratic nominee, formerGovernorPhil M. Donnelly, over theRepublican candidate, formerSpeaker of the Missouri House of RepresentativesHoward Elliott,[1] and candidates representing theProgressive,Socialist andSocialist Labor parties. Donnelly defeated representativePhil J. Welch for his party's nomination.
