The1952–53 UCLA Bruins men's basketball team represented theUniversity of California, Los Angeles during the1952–53 NCAA men's basketball season and were members of thePacific Coast Conference. The Bruins were led by fifth year head coachJohn Wooden. They finished the regular season with a record of 16–8 and finished 3rd in the PCC Southern Division with a record of 8–4.

The Bruins finished the regular season with a record of 19–12 and won the southern division championship with a record of 8–4. They defeated theWashington Huskies in the conference play-offs and lost toSanta Clara in the NCAA regional semifinals andOklahoma City in the regional consolation game.
