The1950 U.S. National Championships (now known as theUS Open) was atennis tournament that took place on the outdoorgrass courts at theWest Side Tennis Club, Forest Hills inNew York City, New York. The tournament ran from 25 August until 5 September. It was the 70th staging of theU.S. National Championships, and the fourthGrand Slam tennis event of the year.[2] A highlight of that year's tournament wasMargaret Osborne du Pont's triple crown.
