General elections were held inGibraltar on 8 November 1950. TheAssociation for the Advancement of Civil Rights emerged as the largest party in the new legislature, winning three of the five elected seats.[1]

Electoral system

Thelegislature was formed in 1950 to replaceGibraltar City Council,[2] and was elected bysingle transferable vote.[3]
