The1947 Navy Midshipmen football team was anAmerican football team that represented theUnited States Naval Academy as an independent during the1947 college football season. In its fifth non-consecutive season under head coachTom Hamilton, the team compiled a 1–7–1 record and was outscored by a total of 165 to 86.[1]

Navy was ranked at No. 32 (out of 500 college football teams) in the finalLitkenhous Ratings for 1947.[2]
