The1945 Rose Bowl was the 31stedition of thecollege footballbowl game, played at theRose Bowl inPasadena, California, on Monday, January 1.[3] TheUSC Trojans of thePacific Coast Conference (PCC) defeated theTennessee Volunteers of the Southeastern Conference (SEC), 25–0.[4][5][6][7][8][9]

Game summary

The game was highlighted by aJohn Ferraro blocked punt, which was carried by Jim Callanan for a touchdown in the opening minutes of the game. Ferraro went on to become the president of theLos Angeles City Council.
