Delaware was won byincumbent PresidentFranklin D. Roosevelt (D–New York), running withSenatorHarry S. Truman, with 54.38% of the popular vote, againstGovernorThomas E. Dewey (R–New York), running withGovernorJohn W. Bricker, with 45.27% of the popular vote.[3][4]
