The1943 U.S. National Championships (now known as theUS Open) was atennis tournament that took place on the outdoorgrass courts at theWest Side Tennis Club, Forest Hills inNew York City, New York. The tournament ran from September 1 until September 6. It was the 63rd staging of theU.S. National Championships and due toWorld War II it was the onlyGrand Slam tennis event of the year.[1][2][3][4]
