The1943 New Mexico Lobos football team represented theUniversity of New Mexico as an independent during the1943 college football season. In their second season under head coachWillis Barnes, the Lobos compiled a 3–2 record and were outscored by opponents by a total of 85 to 59.[1]

In the finalLitkenhous Ratings, New Mexico ranked 82nd among the nation's college and service teams with a rating of 72.2.[2]
