Led by head coachCharlie Bachman ofMichigan State, the Warriors compiled a record of 2–6–2 against a difficult schedule that included four of the top six teams in the finalAP poll rankings:Iowa Pre-Flight,Michigan,Purdue, andGreat Lakes Navy. They were ranked a single time by the AP, achieving the No. 20 spot with a 2–3–1 record, and were dropped the next week after a loss to No. 13Minnesota.

In the finalLitkenhous Ratings, Camp Grant Pre-Flight ranked 22nd among the nation's college and service teams with a rating of 95.6.[1]
