The1934 Tulane Green Wave football team was anAmerican football team that representedTulane University as a member of theSoutheastern Conference (SEC) during the1934 college football season. In its third year head coachTed Cox, the Green Wave compiled a 10–1 record (8–0 in conference games, tied withAlabama for the SEC championship, and outscored opponents by a total of 215 to 83.[1] Tulane was ranked No. 11 in the final Dickinson rankings issued in December 1934.[2]

Tulane was invited to play in the firstSugar Bowl, held at Tulane Stadium, where the Green Wave defeated previously unbeatenTemple, 20–14, onNew Year's Day.

FullbackClaude Simons Jr. and center Homer Robinson received first-team honors from theAssociated Press andUnited Press on the1934 All-SEC football team.[3][4]

Tulane played its home games atTulane Stadium inNew Orleans.
