The1933 Marshall Thundering Herd football team was anAmerican football team that represented Marshall College (nowMarshall University) as a member of theBuckeye Athletic Association (BAA) and theWest Virginia Athletic Conference (WVAC) during the1933 college football season. In its third season under head coachTom Dandelet, the Thundering Herd compiled an overall record of 3–5–1 record and outscored opponents by a total of 109 to 103. Marshall had a record of 1–3–1 in BAA play, placing fifth, and a record of 0–1 against WVAC opponents, but did not play enough conference games to qualify for the WVAC standings.[1][2] Marvin Wooley was the team captain.[3]
