The1929 Virginia lieutenant gubernatorial election was held on 5 November 1929 in order to elect thelieutenant governor of Virginia.Democratic nominee andincumbent member of theVirginia House of DelegatesJames Hubert Price defeatedRepublican nominee C. B. Jones.[1]

General election

On election day, 5 November 1929,Democratic nomineeJames Hubert Price won the election by a margin of 80,805 votes against his opponentRepublican nominee C. B. Jones, thereby retaining Democratic control over the office of lieutenant governor. Price was sworn in as the 23rdlieutenant governor of Virginia on 20 January 1930.[2]
