The1928 United States Senate elections in Arizona was held on Tuesday, November 6, to elect one United States Senator for the class 1 United States Senate seat by represent of the State of Arizona. for one 6-yer term, Bennigng January 3, 1929 And ending January 3, 1935 Democratic candidate United States Incumbent Senator Henry F. Ashurst. defeating Republican nominee and former United States Senator Ralph H. Cameron. in the general election. Cameron was defeated in the previous election year, in 1926, by then-U.S. CongressmanCarl T. Hayden, leading Cameron to decide to challenge Ashurst in order to return to the United States Senate.
