The1928 Marshall Thundering Herd football team was anAmerican football team that represented Marshall College (nowMarshall University) in theWest Virginia Athletic Conference during the1928 college football season. In its fourth season under head coachCharles Tallman, the team compiled a 8–1–1 record, 5–0 against conference opponents, won the WVAC championship, and outscored opponents by a total of 175 to 33.[1][2]
