The1928–29 Michigan Wolverines men's basketball team represented theUniversity of Michigan in intercollegiatecollege basketball during the1928–29 season. The team played its home games atYost Arena on the school's campus inAnn Arbor, Michigan. The team tied for the Western Conference Championship with theWisconsin Badgers.[1][2] The team was led by captainErnie McCoy, who was anAll-American.[3][4]George F. Veenker became the only coach in Michigan history to win the conference championship in his first season.[2]
