The1921 Idaho Vandals football team represented theUniversity of Idaho as a member of theNorthwest Conference during the1921 college football season. Led byThomas Kelley in his second and final season as head coach, the Vandals compiled an overall record of 4–3–1 with a mark of 1–2–1 in conference play, placing fifth in the Northwest Conference.[1][2] The Vandals had two home games inMoscow, one on campus atMacLean Field and another at the fairgrounds; they also played one inBoise atPublic School Field.[3]

Idaho dropped a seventh consecutive game toWashington State in theBattle of the Palouse, falling3–20 atRogers FieldinPullman.[4]Two years later, the Vandals won the first of three consecutive, their onlythree-peat in the rivalry series. The Boise game againstWyoming on the third anniversary ofArmistice Day was attended byGovernorD. W. Davis.[5]

The following June, Kelley left for theUniversity of Missouri and was succeeded at Idaho byRobert L. Mathews.[6][7]
