The1916 Washington State football team represented Washington State College—now known as Washington State University—as a member of theNorthwest Conference during the1916 college football season. Led by second-year head coachWilliam Henry Dietz, compiling an overall record of 4–2 with a mark of 2–2 in conference play, placing fourth in the Northwest Conference. The team played home games atRogers Field, on campus inPullman, Washington.

Washington State joined thePacific Coast Conference (PCC) thefollowing season, in the conference second year of competition.
