The1916Tewkesbury by-election was held on 16 May 1916. Theby-election was held due to the death of the incumbentConservative MP,Michael Hicks Beach, Viscount Quenington, in theFirst World War. It was won by theConservative candidateWilliam Frederick Hicks-Beach,[1] Quenington's uncle, then aged 74.
