The1899 U.S. National Championships (now known as theUS Open) was atennis tournament that took place in June and August of 1899.The women's tournament was held from June 21 to June 24 on the outdoorgrass courts at thePhiladelphia Cricket Club inPhiladelphia,Pennsylvania. The men's tournament was held from August 14 to August 21 on the outdoor grass courts at theNewport Casino inNewport, Rhode Island. It was the 19th U.S. National Championships and the secondGrand Slam tournament of the year.
