The1892 Minnesota Secretary of State election was held on 8 November 1892 in order to elect theSecretary of State of Minnesota.Republican nominee andincumbent Secretary of State Frederick P. Brown defeatedDemocratic nominee and former member of theMinnesota Senate Peter Nelson,People's nominee Henry B. Martin andProhibition nominee Hans H. Aaker.[1]
On election day, 8 November 1892,Republican nominee Frederick P. Brown won re-election by a margin of 8,252 votes against his foremost opponentDemocratic nominee Peter Nelson, thereby retaining Republican control over the office of Secretary of State. Brown was sworn in for his second term on 7 January 1893.[2]
