The1890 Ayr Burghs by-election was a parliamentaryby-election held for theBritish House of Commons constituency ofAyr Burghs in 1890. The seat had become vacant when the sittingLiberal PartyMember of ParliamentJohn Sinclair retired.

TheConservative candidate,James Somervell won the seat.[1]
