The106th Massachusetts General Court, consisting of theMassachusetts Senate and theMassachusetts House of Representatives, met in 1885 during thegovernorship ofGeorge D. Robinson.Albert E. Pillsbury served aspresident of the Senate andJohn Q. A. Brackett served asspeaker of the House.[4]
In 1885 the legislature officialized the statecoat of arms andseal.[5] Other notable legislation included an "Act to Protect Persons UsingPublic Libraries From Disturbance."[6]
