The1875 Minnesota State Auditor election was held on 2 November 1875 in order to elect thestate auditor of Minnesota.Republican nominee andincumbent state auditorOrlan P. Whitcomb defeatedDemocratic nominee Patrick H. Rahilly andTemperance nominee Asa B. Hutchinson.[1]
On election day, 2 November 1875,Republican nomineeOrlan P. Whitcomb won re-election by a margin of 9,837 votes against his foremost opponentDemocratic nominee Patrick H. Rahilly, thereby retaining Republican control over the office of state auditor. Whitcomb was sworn in for his second term on 7 January 1876.[2]
