On election day, November 3, 1874, incumbentDemocraticGovernor of NevadaLewis R. Bradley won the election by a margin of 2,525 votes against his opponentRepublican nomineeJohn Clark Hazlett, thereby retaining Democratic control over the office of Governor. Bradley was sworn in for his second term on January 3, 1875.[1]
