The90th Massachusetts General Court, consisting of theMassachusetts Senate and theMassachusetts House of Representatives, met in 1869 during thegovernorship of RepublicanWilliam Claflin.[5]George O. Brastow andRobert Carter Pitman served aspresidents of the Senate andHarvey Jewell served asspeaker of the House.[6][7]

Notable events include the creation of a Joint Special Committee on Woman Suffrage.[8]
