Michigan was won byNational Union candidate, incumbentRepublican presidentAbraham Lincoln and his running mateAndrew Johnson. They defeated theDemocratic challengerGeorge B. McClellan and his running mateGeorge H. Pendleton. Lincoln won the state by a margin of 7.2%.[2]
As of the2024 presidential election[update], this is the last timeOttawa County voted for a Democratic presidential candidate.[3]
