The1860 United States presidential election in Delaware took place on November 6, 1860, as part of the1860 United States presidential election. State voters chose three representatives, or electors, to theElectoral College, who voted forpresident andvice president.

Delaware was won by theSouthern Democratic candidate14thVice President of the United StatesJohn C. Breckinridge ofKentucky and his running mateSenatorJoseph Lane ofOregon. They defeated theConstitutional Union candidateSenatorJohn Bell ofTennessee and his running mateGovernor of MassachusettsEdward Everett,Republican candidateIllinoisRepresentativeAbraham Lincoln and his running mateSenatorHannibal Hamlin ofMaine as well asDemocratic candidate 15thSenatorStephen A. Douglas ofIllinois and his running mate41st Governor of GeorgiaHerschel V. Johnson. Breckinridge won the state by a margin of 21.41%.

The Republicans ran a slate of electors for Lincoln, but did not nominate any candidates for other federal and state offices. The party instead endorsed the candidates of the People's Party, an anti-Democratic coalition that supported the Republican presidential ticket.[1]
