On election day, April 9, 1810, incumbentFederalist lieutenant governorRoger Griswold won the election by a margin of 2,651 votes against his foremost opponentDemocratic-Republican candidateElijah Boardman, thereby retaining Federalist control over the office of lieutenant governor. Griswold was sworn in for his first full term on May 10, 1810.[2]
