Agubernatorial election was held inVirginia on December 4, 1806.[4] The incumbentgovernor of VirginiaWilliam H. Cabell was re-elected without opposition.[1]

The election was conducted by theVirginia General Assembly in joint session.[3] Cabell was elected with a majority on the first ballot.[1]
