The15K run (15kilometers, or approximately 9.32miles) is a long-distance foot race. It is a rarely held race that is not recognized as anOlympic event. The overall world best time for men was set byJacob Kiplimo in 2025, en route to his world record of 56:42 in theBarcelona Half Marathon. Excluding en route times both the world best for men and women were set at theZevenheuvelenloop inNijmegen,Netherlands. The world best for men is held byJoshua Cheptegei ofUganda who ran a time of 41:05.[1] The women's world best is held byAgnes Jebet Ngetich ofKenya who ran a time of 44:15.[2]
Between 1985 and 1991, theIAAF World Women's Road Race Championships was contested over the 15 km distance.
