13 Cancri (abbreviated to13 Cnc) is aK-typegiant star in theconstellationCancer. It has anapparent magnitude of +6.41 and is approximately 970light years fromEarth.

Its designation is unusual as it is one of a very few stars which have a Bayer designation and are not in the Bright Star Catalog,[5] although the designationψ1 Cancri is rarely used.[6] It is one of the few stars with aFlamsteed designation that are not listed in theBright Star Catalogue.[7][8]
