118th Regiment of Foot (1794)

The119th Regiment of Foot, also known asFingall's Regiment, was an infantryregiment of theBritish Army, formed in October 1794 by ColonelRichard Wogan Talbot and disbanded in October 1795.[1] It saw service asmarines (shipboard infantry) at theBattle of Groix in June 1795, losing a number of men.[2] On disbandment, its soldiers were transferred to the86th Foot.[1]
