ݨ, (Arabic letter noon with small tah (U+0768), ṇūṇ), is an additional letter of theArabic script,[1] not used in theArabic alphabet itself but used inShahmukhiPunjabi, andShina to represent aretroflex nasal consonant,[ɳ].
ڼ is the twenty-ninth letter ofPashto alphabet. It represents the retroflex nasal letter (IPA: [ɳ]) or Ṇ in Latin Alphabets, which isण inDevanagari andਣ inGurmukhi.[2] InSindhi,ڻ is used.
The Unicode for the letterݨ was approved in 2005.[3]Shahmukhi uses the letter ⟨ݨ⟩ for/ɳ/. Previously,ڑن was used to represent avoiced retroflex nasal.
It is a compound of nūn and ṛe ⟨ڑ⟩, for example:
