Ǵ (minuscule:ǵ) is a letter of theLatin alphabet, formed by putting an acute accent over the letterG. The letter represents thePashto lettergeh (ږ), theMacedonian lettergje (Ѓ),[1] and theKarakalpak phoneme/ɣ/ (CyrillicҒ), and appears in theCantonese Yale multigraphsnǵ andnǵh. The letter is also used to transcribe theOld Church Slavic letterdjerv (Ꙉ).[2]
The 2019 reformed alphabet[3] forUzbek also contains this letter. It is currently represented byGʻ (CyrillicҒ).
The 2018 revision of theKazakh Latin alphabet uses the letter as a replacement for the CyrillicҒ, which represents[ʁ]. In 2019, the letter was replaced byĞ.
