Štip (Macedonian:Штип[ʃtip]ⓘ) is a municipality in easternNorth Macedonia.Štip is also the name of the town where the municipal seat is found. This municipality is part of theEastern Statistical Region.
Štip Municipality covers an area of 583.24 km2. The riverBregalnica runs through the municipality.

At the census taken in 1994 the number of inhabitants was 46,372 and in 2002 the number of inhabitants was 47,796.
