Ōgo Station (大胡駅,Ōgo-eki) is a passengerrailway station in the city ofMaebashi,Gunma Prefecture, Japan, operated by the private railway operatorJōmō Electric Railway Company.

Ōgo Station is a station on theJōmō Line, and is located 8.3 kilometers from the terminus of the line atChūō-Maebashi.

History

Ōgo Station was opened on November 10, 1928.[1] The rail facilities at the station were proclaimedRegistered Tangible Cultural Properties on July 31, 2007 by theAgency for Cultural Affairs. These include the station building,[2] the train garage,[3] the transformer house,[4] electrical transmission tower,[5] the electrical sub-station,[6] overhead electrical transmission tower[7] and electrical wire retention tower.[8]
