Óscar Sielva Moreno (born 6 August 1991) is a Spanish professionalfootballer who plays as acentral midfielder forSegunda División clubHuesca.
Born inOlot,Girona,Catalonia, Sielva was a product of localRCD Espanyol's youth system. He made his first-team (andLa Liga) debut on 30 August 2008, at the age of 17 years and 24 days, inthe season opener againstReal Valladolid, coming on as asubstitute forIván de la Peña in the closing stages of the game and beingbooked in a 1–0 home win.[2] He appeared in four more matches in that first campaign, before fracturing hisclavicle twice.[3]
In late August 2009, Sielva was loaned toFC Cartagena,recently promoted toSegunda División.[4] He appeared in only one sixth of the league games duringthe campaign, often clashing with managerJuan Ignacio Martínez who wanted to play him out of position as awinger;[5] he returned to Espanyol in January 2010.
Deemed surplus to requirements at his parent club,[3] Sielva was also only reinstated withthe reserves in January 2011. On 14 November, he joinedMálaga CF'sB team in a mutual agreement between both clubs.[6]
Sielva was released by Málaga at the end of2012–13. He subsequently underwent trials atFC Barcelona B,Girona FC[7] andSwansea City,[8][9] with no success.
On 17 June 2014, after one year out of football, Sielva signed forUE Olot in theSegunda División B.[10] He continued to compete in divisions three and four in the following years, representingMarbella FC,[11]CE Europa,[12]UD Somozas,Rápido de Bouzas andSD Ponferradina.[13]
Sielva was an undisputed starter during his spell at theEstadio El Toralín, achieving promotion to the second tier in2019.[14] He scored his first goal in the competition on 27 September 2020, opening the 3–0 home victory overRayo Vallecano.[15]
On 21 June 2021, after scoring a career-best ten times, Sielva moved to fellow second-division sideSD Eibar on a three-year contract.[16] On 5 August of the following year, he was loaned toSD Huesca in the same league.[17]
On 22 June 2023, Sielva signed a permanent three-year deal with Huesca.[18]
Sielva was a regular for theSpain under-17 side, playing a vital role in their victory in the2008 UEFA European Championship held inTurkey.[19]
