Andy Élysée Logbo (born 6 May 2004) is a French professionalfootballer who plays as aforward forLigue 1 clubLe Havre.[1]
Born inParis, Andy Élysée Logbo joined theLe Havre AC academy in 2017 from CFFP.[2][3][4]
He became a regular goalscorer with theunder-19s by the2021–22 season, most notably playing a key role in his team's beating ofParis Saint-Germain in theCoupe Gambardella,[2][5] whilst also making his debut with the reserve team, in September 2021, during a 0–0National 3 draw againstCherbourg.[3][6]
He signed his first professional contract with the club on the summer 2022,[7][8] after he had been announced as a potentialLiverpool signing, having previously visited theirtraining facilities.[2][9][10] He was then part of a very youthful first team squad underLuka Elsner, including the likes ofSteve Ngoura,Simon Ebonog,Yoni Gomis andAntoine Joujou, that would eventually play for the topLigue 2 spot.[11]
Despite facing injury issues during the2022-23 season, he kept on playing for the reserve, scoring his first goal for the team in February 2023, opening the score during a 3–0 win against the club that saw him make his debut the previous season.[12][13]
Logbo made his professional debut forLe Havre on the 22 May 2023, coming on as a substitute forQuentin Cornette in the last 20 minutes of a 2–0 home loss to Valenciennes, as his club was still trying to consolidate its status as league leader.[14][15]
Logbo is eligible for bothFrench andIvorian national teams.[2][8][9]
Logbo is described as a physically strongcentre-forward, good at winning and protecting the ball, creating many goal chances and also showing abilities to attack the debt of the field.[2][3]
His profile earned him early comparison toRomelu Lukaku, as a youth player.[2][9][10]
