Årås is theadministrative centre ofAustrheim municipality inVestland county,Norway. The village is located in the central part of the island ofFosnøyna, about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) northeast of the village ofAustrheim.[3]

The 0.68-square-kilometre (170-acre) village has a population (2019) of 637 and apopulation density of 937 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,430/sq mi).[1]
