InMandaeism,Yura (Classical Mandaic:ࡉࡅࡓࡀ,romanized: Iura,lit. 'jewel') is anuthra (angelic or celestial being). Yura is mentioned inRight Ginza 15.7, 15.8, 16.1, and 17.1,^[1] as well as inQulasta prayers 214 and 379.^[2]

InRight Ginza 15.7, 16.1, and 17.1, he is mentioned asYura Rba Ganzibra, meaning "Great Yura theGanzibra" or "Great Yura the Treasurer";Right Ginza 15.8 and theQulasta prayers mention him simply asYura Rba ("Great Yura").^[1]

WhileShishlam is considered to be the prototypicalMandaean priest (of any rank),^[3] Yura may be thought of as the prototypicalganzibra.
