WSFW (1110kHz) is anAMradio station broadcasting aChristian talk and teachingradio format.Licensed toSeneca Falls, New York, United States, the station is currently anowned-and-operated station ofCSN International.[2] Some of the national religious leaders heard on WSFW includeAdrian Rogers,David Jeremiah andJames Dobson.

BecauseAM 1110 is aclear channel frequency reserved forClass A stationsWBTCharlotte andKFABOmaha, WSFW is adaytimer and must go off the air at sunset to avoid interference. Programming is heard around the clock over a 200-wattFM translator,W296DI on 107.1MHz.[3]

History

On October 1, 1968,WSFWsigned on the air.[4] It was owned by the Waterfalls Broadcasting Company. One month later, it added an FM counterpart, 99.3 WSFW-FM (nowWFLK). The two stationssimulcast afull servicemiddle of the road format of popular music, news and sports.

In 2007, WSFW dropped its "Finger Lakes News-Talk Network" simulcast withWGVAGeneva,WCGRCanadaigua andWAUBAuburn, New York, then flipped to atravelers information format.[5]

WSFW was sold to Calvary Chapel Twin Falls on November 12, 2009.[6] The assignment of license was approved by theFederal Communications Commission (FCC) on January 12, 2010.[7] At this point, WSFW adopted its currentChristian talk and teaching format, supplied byCSN International.
